HAVE YOU READ THE NEWS?
It’s pretty obvious that most of us need a guide. There is a disaster every way you turn. Right now, there are wildfires in Montana, a hurricane is poised to hit Texas, a friend lost their house to a fire yesterday, another friend tragically lost a family member. We need some guidance.
Sometimes our troubles are of our own making. Other times troubles are “Acts of God Nature”.
But there is one thing I know.
God is there in all of it!
He is the God who sees us!
God sees our past.
He sees our present.
And He sees the future.
There is not another guide more able to lead us along life’s road.
Do you know Him today?
Look up and see if He won’t guide your through to the other side of your troubles. I submit that He will. He ALWAYS has for me. He is my most trusted guide.
I’m reminded of an old hymn that seems appropriate today. {STOP}
God Leads Us Along by George Young
- In shady, green pastures, so rich and so sweet,
God leads His dear children along;
Where the water’s cool flow bathes the weary one’s feet,
God leads His dear children along.- Refrain:
Some through the waters, some through the flood,
Some through the fire, but all through the blood;
Some through great sorrow, but God gives a song,
In the night season and all the day long.
- Refrain:
- Sometimes on the mount where the sun shines so bright,
God leads His dear children along;
Sometimes in the valley, in darkest of night,
God leads His dear children along. - Though sorrows befall us and Satan oppose,
God leads His dear children along;
Through grace, we can conquer, defeat all our foes,
God leads His dear children along. - Away from the mire, and away from the clay,
God leads His dear children along;
Away up in glory, eternity’s day,
God leads His dear children along.

Love that God knows where I am going, even if I don’t.
SO true. THanks for dropping by!
Thanks for sharing this beautiful hymn that reminds us so powerfully that God personally leads His children and is always present.
Yes! Thanks for coming by and leaving a word of encouragement. God bless!
I love this hymn! I hadn’t realized that George Young wrote it! Thank you for sharing these encouraging thoughts along with such a precious song.
You know I didn’t know it either. But its a great song!
Love how you tie in the Good News with this post. So thankful He is our Guide!
AMen. I couldn’t live without his guidance.
Thanks for dropping by and leaving a word of encouragement.
God knows all and will never forget us even when we forget He’s right there with us. xx
It’s the truth! Thanks for dropping by!
Amen friend!
Thanks for that “shout from the pews” 🙂 Hope you are getting settled in.
“Look up and see if He won’t guide your through to the other side of your troubles.” What a wonderful statement! Change your perception and see what God can/will do.
God bless!
Thanks. I’ve learned that so much of late. Look Up!
We took some friends on a tour of historic Savannah. The guide kept saying, “Look UP at this steeple, look up at that steeple.” IT really ingrained in me that we need to look up!
Thanks for dropping by.
I love this and we all need reminding in this life that God IS in the midst of all! And I love the words to that hymn. It’s new to me. Im #49 this week.
Thank you! I’ve been trying to reintroduce people to some of the great old hymns we never sing anymore. I use the FMF as a chance to do that. Thanks for dropping by.
AMEN friend! Your post makes me think of the hymn “Without Him”
I’m writing over at http://mywritingplayground.com
Oh yes! another good one! I miss singing the hymns, though we do usually get one in each week.
