Thursday is Fibromyalgia Awareness Day!
I’ve been working diligently in preparing a series to help others understand this invisible health issue that 5 out of 100 people (mostly women) deal with.
I am included in this group. I have been suffering for five years with Fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthritis. I was fortunate to receive a diagnosis earlier than most, but it usually takes about 5 years to get a correct diagnosis and find a doctor that believes you are in pain.
I recently attended a pain management course at Mayo Clinic and I want to share what I learned there plus things that I have learned on my own over these five years. I hope to not only encourage those who suffer, but their caregivers and friends as well. Let’s take this journey together.
Share this with your friends and join me every day beginning Thursday, May 12.
