When I read the title of this chapter, “When Doubt Whispers ‘I’m Not Good Enough”. my first thought was
“Satan’s Big Fat Lie”.
But then I realized
No, this is absolutely true. None of us are good enough, we’re not even good. It’s right in the Bible.
Isaiah 53 says
‘Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt, there is no one who does good, not even one.”
Satan’s lie is the idea that
we have to be good enough in and of ourselves, but
Colossians 1:22 says
“He has reconciled you to himself
through the death of Christ in his physical body.
As a result, he has brought you into his own presence,
and you are holy and blameless
as you stand before him without a single fault.”
When God sees us,
He no longer sees the things in our past ..
the past is gone; all things are new!
Colossians 3:3 ” For you died to this life,
and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.”
Contrary to our society’s message,
it’s not about me, but it IS All About Him
“In this new life, it doesn’t matter [what you are or were],
Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.”
In other words,
#WhoIam is immaterial, but
“The Great I AM” …. That’s what matters.
Rather than focusing on Who I am,
I want to find my joy in Who God is.
I started a list of who God is. Can you think of more to add to it?
God is my …
