A Little Comfort for the Pain

Last week was Father’s Day and it was my husband’s birthday. We had a wonderful time with family.  Our “out of town” son was here for the week and our “in town families” were over more often than usual. Thank goodness, the kids pulled more than their share of  the weight with cooking and planning. Daniel smoked Boston Butt and Brisket, Tina made a coconut cake, Mikaela made her delicious macaroni and cheese, Brian & Brett bought ingredients and supplies for homemade ice cream. Oh my goodness. (diet time)

If you have fibromyalgia, you know where I am going. This week, I am tired and sore.  But it was worth it. This is my excuse for not having a post ready to publish first thing this morning. I will aim to have a post ready on Thursday. {fingers crossed}

I’ve been feverishly working to finish the Purple Bursts Throw

which is for my May Giveaway Winner. This is going to be so great to cuddle up in and get a little comfort from your pain or those chills we fibro folks seem to get. It has turned out beautifully and I can’t wait for her reaction when she receives it! Kandy Chimento read and shared every single one of my posts. So she is very deserving in receiving this throw. Go visit her at Getting Back to My Roots

If you didn’t win, but you really wanted the throw. You can order one from me for $55 plus shipping. It takes approximately 2 months for me to finish one. Being that this is handmade, I cannot guarantee a set arrival time. But there it is, if you desire one.

I have a goal to make ahead this standard baby blanket that I can have ready to sell by just adding a20140818_201909 ribbon of your choice. This too would sell for about $55 plus shipping (they usually fit in a medium priority mail box). I don’t have one available as I just sold one and have two in the queue. {I’m going to have to get faster at this}  If you would like to see some of my other work  go to my Photo Gallery

I’m trying to take it easy the next few days so I don’t burn out. After all, we’ve got Independence Day this weekend and more company too!

Happy Fourth!
