I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia many years ago.

I knew something was wrong for years but no doctor I went to could figure out the problem. Finally I went to a rheumatologist who diagnosed Fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, and degenerative disc disease.

I find my body gets so tired. I just rest as much as I can.

I still work and I have good days and bad days. Some days I feel like I’m coming down with something. I ache all over just like I have a fever. It’s just part of the disease. I tell people I feel like the Princess and the Pea. If there is a little fold in my bedclothes, I will hurt all day from that.

My life changed a lot.

When you have Fibromyalgia, you learn not to plan things because you never know how you are going to feel. I can feel good in the morning and by the afternoon feel awful. It is not like that every day, but it does happen a good bit.

I do thank the Lord for helping me find good doctors and for giving me peace through this journey. He also gives me a lot of willpower I need to get up and go to work each day.

I know that I can relate to her situation, especially that “fold in the sheet” problem! 🙂

  1. I’ve not been diagnosed with anything like that, but I do have times of overwhelming tiredness. I know I can’t begin to understand the depth of the pain you experience but I know it is real. I’m glad you found doctors that were understanding and didn’t think it was “all in your head.” May God bless you in your life!

    1. I praise the Lord every day for understanding doctors. We just moved recently across state, so I’m dealing some now with finding doctors like the ones I had, but God is faithful!

Chronic fatigue goes hand in hand with fibromyalgia, so follow right along with me. I’ll be getting to more ways to deal with it.

      God bless you!

  2. Fighting fibro as well as a few other chronic issues – I have been blessed with a team of Drs that listen to me and work with me and with each other in my treatment. I belong to an awesome support group on FB God-Living Girls with Chronic Illness where we encourage and pray for each other, and join as a small group for Bible studies. Great community of ladies who can say “I understand “

  3. I know these symptoms well. I have RA, fibromyalgia, and GIRD. I can’t plan too much either. I don’t know when I am going to feel at my worst. Most days though I hurt and am tired 100 percent of the time.

  4. I have a few friends who battle with Fibro as well and I remember how hard it was for them to get any help or a diagnosis in the earlier days! Thankful it seems that there is a bit more awareness of what it is and hopefully how to treat it now! Praying for you!

I love reading your comments. Tell me what you think.
