Praying the Scriptures

Praying Scriptures for Our Children

Two are better than one,

because they have a good return for their work:

If one falls down, his friend can help him up.

But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Colossians1-11nlt

Our Dear Lord,

Thank you, Lord, for giving our children spouses and children and friends that love them, support them, and help them. In a messy world, we each need those who will stand by us and make us strong.

I pray for their spouse that he/she would draw close to You and thus be able to love and support our children as You would desire. If they have children, I pray that they would be parents that create a home which is a haven for their children… a place where they know that they can run for love and safety. Above all, I pray that they will find safety in You. I pray that each one, would not only look to their own desires, but would think of one another first and that they would find strength in one another, working together to live lives that honor You

If our children do not have this support system, I pray that You will bring a friend into their lives soon. Draw our children to uplifting places where good friends and potential spouses can be found. Encourage them to find a church family where they can find grace and mercy in their time of need.

Amen!
